Emily Scott, Chef Patron of the St Tudy Inn near Wadebridge, shares her secrets for living the good life in North Cornwall!

One of Cornwall’s many high achievers in the culinary world, Emily Scott has a string of accolades to her name, most recently an appearance on the Great British Menu, where she put heart and soul into her stunning Desert Island Dishes.

She has twice been included in the ground-breaking list, 100 Most Influential Women In Hospitality published by CODE, and the St Tudy Inn has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2017. 

Emily’s seasonal, elegant dishes have won her a loyal following at the atmospheric old village pub, set amidst peaceful Cornish countryside. The Inn has been sensitively renovated with the addition of four tastefully appointed and luxurious bedrooms. With all the delights of North Cornwall right on the doorstep, the St Tudy Inn is a perfect destination for gourmet breaks in every season.

Emily lives a busy life, juggling the social lives of her three teenagers, leading her kitchen team and overseeing every aspect of the business.

Emily’s Best Food Spots: “My favourite places to eat on a rare night off are Prawn On The Lawn or The Seafood Restaurant – both in Padstow, or for a special night away The Seahorse in Dartmouth.” 

Emily’s Recommended Walk: “Daymer Bay is an old favourite. It’s a stunning place with golden sand and pretty views across the Camel Estuary. My daily dog walks are precious time when I gather my thoughts for the long hours ahead, and also when I plan menus and dishes inspired by the seasons.”
