Could these honey-glazed pigs in blankets be the ultimate festive party food? We think so!
This easy Christmas entertaining idea comes to you courtesy of Cornwall’s culinary ambassador, The Cornish Chef. Showcasing the award-winning pork of local producer Primrose Herd, we guarantee this recipe will become part of your festive repertoire for years to come…
Primrose Herd is a family farm near Redruth where traditional breeds are reared slowly outdoors. This non-intensive approach results in excellent flavour, and the family have won multiple national awards as a result.
This year Primrose Herd are selling Pig’s In Blankets Selection Packs featuring different sausage flavours. Extra tasty when lathered in honey and thyme (see below!)
These mouthwatering images (apologies if you’re hungry!) were taken by food stylist and photography Ali Green, who also designed and shot The Comfort Cookbook.
Honey and Thyme Pigs in Blankets
1 pack of Primrose Herd Pigs in Blankets
A good squeeze of Honey
A few sprigs of Thyme
Salt and pepper
This is an easy way to make those pigs in blankets extra delicious!
Simply drizzle with honey and scatter with the leaves from a few sprigs of thyme, then season with salt and pepper and bake as normal.
This will give them a sticky glossy finish and a delicious flavour.
Perfect finger food for seasonal get-togethers.
